(There is a lady bug next to Ignatz and Krazy.) Krazy: See that bug, 'Ignatz'? Ignatz: Yes. Krazy: She's a wery wery gullable person she is too. Ignatz: How so? Krazy: Well, you just say to her, "Lady bug', 'Lady bug', fly away home. Your house is on fire and your children are alone'. She'll believe you- Ignatz:Yes? (Ignatz turns to face the bug, as Krazy walks away, contented.) Ignatz: Ladybug ladybug fly away home. Your house is on fire your children are alone. (The Ladybug spreads her wings in outrage. Ignatz jumps.) Ladybug: Children!!! Saay, what do you mean insulting a respectable spinster, and what's more I have no house in this town. I'm a stranger here, you bald face gazooni! (Ignatz picks up a brick and readies to fire it at Krazy.) Ignatz: Krazy Kat, Krazy Kat, fly away from home. Krazy: Li'l heedin, he thinks I'm a lady-bug. |
